COMMUNICATION SCIENCES
AND DISORDERS

The Communication Sciences and Disorders Department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Habilitation of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (Deaf education). A minor in communication sciences and disorders is also offered. The graduate program offers a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, with an optional sequence in Bilingual Speech-Language Pathology.

Speech-language pathology involves the study of normal and impaired communication development and the evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders. Audiology involves the evaluation, treatment, and study of normal and impaired hearing mechanisms and perception.
